Each list states what was measured, by whom, and on what day: podcasts by their position on Apple's and Spotify's public charts, news sites by an independent estimate of their U.S. search audience and commentators by how often readers looked them up on Wikipedia over twelve months. Where a list is not ranked, it says so.

Why does a candidate record publish a media guide?
Readers who follow campaigns also ask where the conversation about them happens. The same rule applies here as on the profiles: a claim is printed only with the measurement and the date behind it.
How often is the guide updated?
Each list carries the date of its measurements. Lists are re-measured and re-dated as a whole, never entry by entry.
